HIDROELÉCTRICA DE CAHORA BASSA INTERNATIONAL SCHOOL (HCBIS) SHINES AT GLOBAL MONEY WEEK!

On 20 March 2026, our students at HCBIS participated in the 14th Financial Literacy Competition hosted by the Bank of Mozambique at Songo Secondary School.
Competing alongside Songo and Vale de Chitima Secondary Schools under the motto "Learn, Save, Earn," our team showcased outstanding talent and financial savvy, bringing home:
1st Place: Drawing (Artistic excellence!)
3rd Place: Essay Writing, Drama, and Quiz!
Key Lessons Learnt:
Beyond the trophies, our students gained invaluable life skills:
- Financial Discipline: The importance of saving today for a secure tomorrow.
- The Power of Creativity: Expressing complex financial concepts through art and drama helps knowledge stick.
- Healthy Competition: Interacting with neighbouring schools reminded us that learning is a shared journey.
At HCBIS, excellence is more than just a goal; it is a daily commitment. The participation and results achieved reflect the school's ongoing commitment to quality education and the success of its students.
